It is interesting how Kris Van Assche campaigns have such a distinctive style season after season, the AW13 campaign shot by Bruno Staub reminds me of Dave Mcdermott's Relationship Study (2012) art piece. I have to say that I can relate to the SS14 campaign, the play with counter balance and counter tension between both models reminds me of gymnastic lessons at school when we had to demonstrate really embarrassing poses to the whole class whilst maintaining stability. Alessio Bolzoni shot the last two campaigns and AW14 is by far my favourite, I love the low angles and composition of his work; the mix and match styling by Mauricio Nardi looks well elaborated in this context where bodies are juxtaposed and graphic prints accentuated to create a statement which summarises the edginess and modernity of the brand.

Backstage | Get Up, Dress Up & Show up | Christian Moggi

Very talented Christian Moggi has put together this backstage video for the 'Get Up, Dress Up & Show up' editorial featuring the lovely Aleksandar Vico. I love how he has pictured every little tasks, especially mine which varied from photographer's assistant to keeping the model's upper body wet whilst he was in the bath.

Balmain AW14-15

What is not to love about this collection? Biker gilet combined with faux-fur, khaki cargo jackets paired up with smart satin trousers, dresses constructed with interlaced cord embellished with gold detailing and accessorised with choker necklaces. My favourite piece is the luxurious leopard-print blazer in pony skin corseted by a wrestler belt not forgetting the power shoulders signature seen throughout the collection. A real work of art.

For this editorial we wanted to convey one of those typical Mondays many of us despise with a passion. I love shooting in studio but being on location is more challenging. As a team we have to be performant but the photographer has a heavier burden as he has to be conscious of the daylight at all times... but I suppose that a dose of stress and pressure is a good thing according to Kelly McGonigal (Health psychologist/ TED Speaker).
