TOPMAN Design | AW14

Wearable, functional, heavy, structured, dull and wet; the must have characteristics for Menswear AW14 trends. To me it seems like TOPMAN Design winter collections are always a big hit and so much stronger than their SS collections. The fisherman theme was apparent throughout the collection; I love the play with textures, between matte leather, glossy PVC and transparency. The oversized fit was composed of long line blazers and wide leg relaxed trousers as well as cropped duffle coats which cleverly manipulated the proportion of the silhouette. You can't go wrong with a dark palette but they played it cool with sudden apparition of tangy orange and baby blue colours which was a smart way to inject life in this collection. My favourite part of the défilé is the finale, when the rain poured from the ceiling, what a show!
